Flash Movie - Newbie help :) Hello all, I'm new here and new to Flash also. I designed a dress up game and had a programmer write some actionscript so that players would be able to drop/drag clothing and it would click to the model. For some reason I am unable to test the movie. I get this error: "Error creating Flash Movie: Be sure the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive. Also, check to make sure the name is not too long" I saw this error on a previous post and someone said you must go to Publish Settings and check the location of your file, because the error means it has been moved from it's original location (which I assume is the programmers machine) since there is a looong file path that seems to be from his machine. What do I do? I'd also like to be able to reuse this actionscript for another game and am unable to do that also. Any help is greatly appreciated. 04-30-200802:03 PM # ADS Advertisement by Join Date Always Posts Many 05-02-200802:23 AM #2 NTD View Profile View Forum Posts Priva

There are some serious issues with Bk5. I tried to export it, and I got the error message above. After trying everything I could think of, I finally got it to http://www.flashadvisor.com/forum/threads/3626-Error-Creating-Flash-Movie-Newbie-help-) export by removing every single music track in the movie. But that's not all. As soon as the movie reached the end of Scene 3, it all goes to hell. I don't know how to explain it. It starts skipping around the previous scene, as if it's on fast forward or something. The sound effects go completely crazy, playing random sounds constantly and http://mottis.newgrounds.com/news/post/595958 the movie doesn't go anywhere. As soon as it began, I felt sick. As in physically sick in my stomach. This is like a nightmare. I don't know what to do. Well, there are a few things I'm still going to try, but it's not looking very good right now. I'll keep you updated, I guess. Update: The movie no longer goes crazy at the end of scene 3. Now it just stops there, slightly before the scene ends. I'm not sure if that's a change for the better or worse, but whatever I do, I can't make the movie play after that spot. Even if I jump straight into the next scene, skipping that particular part, it just stops there instead and refuses to go forward. The movie clips still play fine so it's not like it froze or aything. Update: I went to my friends house, and tried exporting the movie with his monster computer, but it didn't work at all, sadly. We were using Flash CS5 and I couldn't even save(+ convert) the flash with the program without it crashing, let alone export it.

Usually my .fla's end up being around 20MB, but apparently doing like 10 seconds worth of some frame-by-frame and flash movie I have an extra 80MB to tow around? lol but yeah, anyways, when I try to export the finished swf, preview it or do certain actions (I've tried cutting frames and pasting them into new symbols and stuff) it says "Error creating Flash movie. There was not enough memory available" and other messages to a similar degree. Now I have plenty of memory on my computer... so I don't understand why I'm getting create flash movie this message. So I'm basically just wondering how could I get around this snag? Should I try... bah, copying and pasting ALL frames into a new project and making them into one big symbol? (although that could probably result in the same error message) I could take other's advice which is to split it up into parts but exactly how would I go about doing that? Copying and pasting sections of the movie into seperate projects and then... combining them back together in a new project? I'm not exactly sure if that would work either. Would having seperate scenes help? I mean I've done all the work in one scene... Ah, I'm just really lost right now. It sucks to spend so much time on something and then when you're so close to the finish line it all just blows up in your face. So has anyone else experienced this? Would you have any advice? A Windows error is an error that happens when an unexpected condition occurs or when a desired operation has failed. When you have an error in Windows, it may be critical and cause your programs to freeze and crash or it may be seemingly harmless yet annoying.
A stop error screen or bug check screen, commonly called a blue screen of death (also known as a BSoD, bluescreen), is caused by a fatal system error and is the error screen displayed by the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems upon encountering a critical error, of a non-recoverable nature, that causes the system to "crash".
One of the biggest causes of DLL's becoming corrupt/damaged is the practice of constantly installing and uninstalling programs. This often means that DLL's will get overwritten by newer versions when a new program is installed, for example. This causes problems for those applications and programs that still need the old version to operate. Thus, the program begins to malfunction and crash.
Computer hanging or freezing occurs when either a program or the whole system ceases to respond to inputs. In the most commonly encountered scenario, a program freezes and all windows belonging to the frozen program become static. Almost always, the only way to recover from a system freeze is to reboot the machine, usually by power cycling with an on/off or reset button.
Once your computer has been infected with a virus, it's no longer the same. After removing it with your anti-virus software, you're often left with lingering side-effects. Technically, your computer might no longer be infected, but that doesn't mean it's error-free. Even simply removing a virus can actually harm your system.
Reimage repairs and replaces all critical Windows system files needed to run and restart correctly, without harming your user data. Reimage also restores compromised system settings and registry values to their default Microsoft settings. You may always return your system to its pre-repair condition.
Reimage patented technology, is the only PC Repair program of its kind that actually reverses the damage done to your operating system.
