Both are playable in my PC with Cyberlink PowerDVD. When I try to burn either of those with Nero 7 Burning Rom to blank media (I use Verbatim) an error message displays right at the beginning of the burning process that says:"File 'VIDEO_TS.VOB' is not referenced and should not be present" immediately followed by "DVD-Video files reallocation failed". I'm given the option to continue the burning process but it warns that it might not be playable.I made the experiment of deleting the VIDEO_TS.VOB file from the VIDEO_TS folder and Nero does not warn anymore and tries to burn normally without any errors. Should I burn the DVD with the conflicting file in it or without it? In the end, will I end up with a playable DVD? Thanks. That might be part of the problem. You should just burn as data if the video_ts has been properly authored. Then it should just drag and drop the files and burn without issues. If you're burning in dvd-video mode it might not like the type of structure you have and is trying to tell you something..... Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? DVD-Video files reallocation failed ERROR angrypanda View Member Profile Apr 30 2010, 12:05 AM Post #1 Newbie Group: Members Posts: 1 Joined: 29-April 10 Member No.: 8,764,866 Hi,This is not good, the very first time I use Nero 9 on Windows 7 Ultimate it barfs :-(Trying to copy a non-protected DVD. Put the DVD in drive, and start up DVD-recode, it'sa laptop with one DVD+/-RW drive. Nero recodes and makes the image on the hard disk, and I'm prompted to insert a blank DVD to write to, then it fails. It complains that Required file 'VTS_06_0.vob' is not present and then gives the error messagefrom the subject line of this posting. There were http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/298750-DVD-Video-files-reallocation-failed NO errors when reading from the disk, this error only occurs when trying to write outthe image. Not too sure what to try next. I've run the process twice and with 2 different blank disks. I haven'ttried a different DVD yet, but will do once I know this isn't a common gotcha.Any help would be much appreciated.Best wishes,Jonp.s. how come I'm not allowed to upload the nerorecode.txt error log file that was saved out http://forum.my.nero.com/index.php?showtopic=6101 bythe program. wither View Member Profile Apr 30 2010, 12:19 AM Post #2 Advanced Member Group: Members Posts: 21,667 Joined: 30-August 08 Member No.: 8,132,427 Are you using V9.4.26? It's the only version other than 10 that's Win 7 compatible.I take it you're trying to burn a DVD-Video. It may be that you need the .vob, .bup and .ifo files in the Video_TS folder and it's missing the .vob. You can tell me that.If the .vob file doesn't contain all the information that's normally contained in the .bup and .ifo files, then you would have to use Vision, Make DVD, DVD-Video to create the DVD-Video files. You could then burn them in Vision or any of the other apps that handle video. All this makes me sound like an expert but I just learned this today at the chat line because I wanted an explanation of what the help file means when it says that DVD-Videos can't be burned unless the files to be burned are authored in Vision or a like program. The burn log should be pretty small and there's a limit on the size of an upload. How large is the file? Do you have other files uploaded in other threads? This post has been edited by wither: Apr 30 2010,

A Windows error is an error that happens when an unexpected condition occurs or when a desired operation has failed. When you have an error in Windows, it may be critical and cause your programs to freeze and crash or it may be seemingly harmless yet annoying.
A stop error screen or bug check screen, commonly called a blue screen of death (also known as a BSoD, bluescreen), is caused by a fatal system error and is the error screen displayed by the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems upon encountering a critical error, of a non-recoverable nature, that causes the system to "crash".
One of the biggest causes of DLL's becoming corrupt/damaged is the practice of constantly installing and uninstalling programs. This often means that DLL's will get overwritten by newer versions when a new program is installed, for example. This causes problems for those applications and programs that still need the old version to operate. Thus, the program begins to malfunction and crash.
Computer hanging or freezing occurs when either a program or the whole system ceases to respond to inputs. In the most commonly encountered scenario, a program freezes and all windows belonging to the frozen program become static. Almost always, the only way to recover from a system freeze is to reboot the machine, usually by power cycling with an on/off or reset button.
Once your computer has been infected with a virus, it's no longer the same. After removing it with your anti-virus software, you're often left with lingering side-effects. Technically, your computer might no longer be infected, but that doesn't mean it's error-free. Even simply removing a virus can actually harm your system.
Reimage repairs and replaces all critical Windows system files needed to run and restart correctly, without harming your user data. Reimage also restores compromised system settings and registry values to their default Microsoft settings. You may always return your system to its pre-repair condition.
Reimage patented technology, is the only PC Repair program of its kind that actually reverses the damage done to your operating system. The online database is comprised of over 25,000,000 updated essential components that will replace any damaged or missing file on a Windows operating system with a healthy version of the file so that your PC's performance, stability & security will be restored and even improve.
