I have exactly the same problem in my simulation. I also want to carry out a transient analysis of a 3D piezoeletric solid and the error 6188 appears "Out of memory during assembly". I have 4 205 796 degrees of freedom to be solved. I am wondering if these are to much dofs to solve for Comsol 3.5, because I have launched the same simulation in ANSYS 11, in the same computer, and I had no problems. If you find a solution for your problem, please let me know since it might work for me too. I have no idea how to solve the problem.
